ABOUT AVEC
AVEC represents the European poultry sector, giving a voice to all players. The members include national organisations that represent the poultry sector and poultry trade in 17 EU member states.
The mission of AVEC – The Association of Poultry Processors and Poultry Trade in the EU – is to defend the interests of the poultry processors and the poultry trade in the countries of the European Union as well as protecting their rights and functions. ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a dynamic intern who is willing to learn and contribute to our small team by working with various tasks in the field of public affairs in the agri-food sector at EU level.
TASKS
- Monitoring – provide research and analyse relevant policies affecting the EU poultry sector.
- Actively participate into EU funded projects (data collection etc.)
- Support the planning and execution of events, conferences, or webinars organised by AVEC.
- Assist in preparing advocacy materials.
- Help draft and format newsletters etc. Update the website.
- Assist with general office tasks (updating databases, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials etc).
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
- Quick learner, ability to grasp complex concepts rapidly.
- University-level education (master’s degree) in EU studies and/or international relations and/or agro sciences.
- Fluent oral and written communication in English – other languages are an asset.
- Strong research and analysis skills.
- Team-player, proactive and inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to work individually.
- Familiar with Microsoft software such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
WHAT WE OFFER
- The internship will run from the 1st of January to the 30th of June 2025 (6 months).
- We offer you the possibility to learn, engage and get a network in Brussels to build on for the future.
- The contract will be a convention d’immersion professionelle.
- The workplace will be AVEC office, Rue du Luxembourg 47-51, Brussels (Belgium).
