Who are we?

AVEC represents the European poultry sector, together we raise the voice of the European poultry meat sector. The members include national ‎organisations that represent the poultry sector and poultry trade in 16 EU member states and the UK.‎

About the position

We are looking for a dynamic intern who is willing to learn and contribute to our small team by working with various tasks in the field of public affairs in the agri-food sector at EU level.

Tasks

– Monitor, provide research and analyse relevant policies affecting the EU poultry sector.
– Actively participate in EU funded projects (data collection, analysis, meetings, etc.).
– Support the planning and execution of events, conferences, or webinars organised by AVEC.
– Assist in preparing advocacy and technical materials.
– Help draft and format newsletters, meeting minutes, update the website.
– Assist with general office tasks (updating databases, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials etc).

About the candidate

– Quick learner, ability to grasp complex concepts rapidly.
– University-level education (master’s degree) in EU studies and/or international relations and/or agro sciences.
– Fluent oral and written communication in English – other languages are an asset.
– Strong research and analysis skills.
– Team-player, proactive and inquisitive mindset.
– Ability to work individually.
– Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are a must).
